Shopify Development. A Store Built to Convert and Simple to Run
Your Shopify store is a theme somebody customised once, an app for every problem, and a checkout that leaks orders on mobile. We build and rebuild Shopify and Shopify Plus stores around how people actually buy from you: a theme built for your products, only the apps that earn their place, a checkout tested with real orders, and the migration, integrations and training that make the store yours to run.
- A theme built for your products, not a template with your logo on it
- Apps cut to the ones that do a job the theme cannot
- The checkout tested on real phones with real orders
- Products, customers and orders migrated without losing your rankings
Platforms we work in
How we approach it
Built for Your Products, Editable by Your Team
A template chosen from the theme store was designed for someone else's range. Yours is built or adapted for how your products are browsed and compared, on Shopify's section-based themes, so a new landing page or a changed collection is something your team does in the editor rather than a ticket to a developer.
- Collection and product pages designed for your range
- A section-based theme your team edits without code
- Speed measured on real page loads, not a theme demo
- Structured data and clean markup for search
Only the Apps That Earn Their Place
Every app installed to fix a small problem adds script to every page and a line to the monthly bill, and a store with a long app list is slow and expensive by accident. What the theme can do is built into the theme; reviews, subscriptions, search and the like stay as apps because they need to; the rest is removed.
- Theme features built in, not bolted on
- Apps kept where they do a job the theme cannot
- Unused apps removed and their script with them
- The monthly app bill reviewed at the same time
Tested With Real Orders on Real Phones
A checkout is judged by the orders it completes, and most of those start on a phone. Shopify Payments, shipping, taxes and discounts are configured for how you sell, and the whole path from product page to confirmation is tested with real orders on the devices your customers use before launch.
- Payments, shipping and taxes configured for your business
- Real orders placed on the phones customers use
- Shopify Plus checkout customisation where it applies
- Abandoned checkout recovery set up through Shopify or Klaviyo
How we work
Learn how people buy from you
What they search, how they compare, what they ask before ordering and where the current store loses them. Google Analytics, Search Console and your own order data tell most of it before the design starts.
Plan the catalogue and the pages
Collections, filters, product page structure and the content each product needs are worked out before the theme, because the theme has to serve them and not the other way round.
Build the theme and the checkout
The theme is built or adapted on Shopify's section-based architecture so your team can edit it. Payments, shipping, taxes and discounts are configured, apps are added only where earned, and integrations are connected.
Migrate and test with real orders
Products, customers and orders are moved, redirects are mapped, and the store is tested end to end with real orders on real devices, including the phones your customers use.
Launch, train and keep it running
The store goes live with redirects in place and Search Console watched. Your team is shown how to add products, edit pages and run promotions, and a retainer is available for changes, apps and theme updates.

What each part does
- A Theme Built for Your Range
- A theme designed for a small boutique fails a store with a large catalogue. The theme is built or adapted for how your products are found, filtered and compared, with collection and product pages that answer the buyer's questions before the add to cart.
- Apps Only Where They Earn It
- Every app adds script to every page and a fee to every invoice. We build in the theme what a theme can do, keep the apps that do something it cannot, such as reviews, subscriptions or search, and remove the rest.
- A Checkout That Completes on Mobile
- Most orders start on a phone and most abandoned checkouts happen there. Shopify Payments, shipping rates, taxes and discounts are configured for your business, and the checkout is tested with real orders on the phones your customers use.
- Migration Without Losing What You Built
- Moving a store loses rankings and customers when it is done carelessly. Products, customers, orders and URLs are migrated with redirects mapped from old to new, and checked in Search Console after launch.
- Shopify Plus Where You Have Outgrown Standard
- A store with high volume, wholesale customers or many markets hits the limits of a standard plan. Shopify Plus brings a customisable checkout, Shopify Flow automation, B2B pricing and expansion stores, and we set them up for the way you sell.
- Integrations That Keep Data Moving
- Orders in one system and stock in another is a store that oversells. Shopify is connected to your accounting, fulfilment, ERP or email platform, such as Klaviyo, through native apps, Shopify Flow or a custom app where nothing off the shelf fits.
What it changes for you
A Store Your Team Runs
Products, pages and promotions change the day they need to, because the theme was built for editing.
Pages That Load
Fewer apps and a lean theme mean pages that draw before the buyer leaves.
Orders That Complete
The checkout was tested with real orders on real phones, so it does what customers expect.
Systems That Agree
Stock, orders and customers match across Shopify, your accounts and your fulfilment.
What it costs
Custom quote for the build, scoped from your catalogue, integrations and whether the store is migrating. Optional monthly retainer for changes, apps and theme updates.

Before you commit
Shopify fits a store that wants hosting, payments, security and the checkout handled for it, and it does that well. WooCommerce on WordPress fits a content-heavy site that also sells; a custom build fits a business whose ordering does not look like a shop. We build on all three and say which fits you.
Only if you have hit the limits of the standard plan: checkout customisation, wholesale pricing, several markets or stores, high volume, or automation through Shopify Flow. Many stores have not, and Plus costs more every month. We look at how you sell and say whether it would pay for itself.
Yes. Products, variants, customers, orders and content are migrated, the old URLs are redirected to the new ones, and the store is checked in Search Console after launch so rankings and repeat customers survive the move.
How it runs
Yes. The theme is built on Shopify's section-based architecture, so pages, collections, products and promotions are edited in Shopify's own editor. Your team is trained before launch, and the retainer covers what they would rather not do themselves.
Whichever serves your products. A well-built theme adapted for your range is the right answer for many stores; a store with unusual products or a large catalogue is built from a clean base. The decision is made from how your products are browsed, not from a preference.
As few as the store needs. Reviews, subscriptions, search and email, such as Klaviyo, are apps because the theme cannot do them; navigation, layout and most page features are built into the theme instead. Every app on the list is there for a reason we can show you.
Cost and commitment
A one-off project price, quoted from the size of the catalogue, the integrations and whether the store is migrating from another platform. Shopify's own subscription and app fees are paid to Shopify and are separate.
[n] weeks is typical for a store on an adapted theme, longer for a large catalogue, a migration or a Shopify Plus setup with integrations. Most of the time goes on the catalogue, the checkout testing and the migration rather than on the theme.
